For beauty therapists

Websites for beauty therapists

A booking system that works at eleven at night is worth more than any amount of copy.

Beauty is a rebooking business. The money is not in winning a client once, it is in whether they come back every four weeks for three years, and the biggest single thing standing in the way of that is how hard it is to book. I build beauty websites where the booking is the point and everything else supports it.

What your customer is actually deciding

Most beauty bookings are made in the evening, on a phone, often in bed, and frequently for an appointment that is needed within the week. The client is not reading about your training or your product brands, they are looking for whether you do the treatment, roughly what it costs, and whether there is anything free on Thursday. Any step that requires speaking to a person loses a meaningful share of those people, because they are booking at a time when nobody is answering.

Where most beauty therapists’ websites go wrong

Booking by phone or direct message only, which quietly caps the business at whatever the therapist can process by hand and loses every client who was browsing at midnight. The second failure is a treatment list with no prices and no durations, when both are the client's first questions. The third is nothing about patch tests or aftercare, which for lashes, tints and some facials is not just useful but a genuine safety and no-show issue.

It is Tuesday evening and someone has just been invited to a wedding on Saturday. They need a spray tan and their lashes done, and they are looking on a phone at half ten at night. Every salon that only takes bookings by phone is out of the running before the search is finished, not because they are worse, but because nobody is going to remember to ring in the morning.

The pages a beauty therapist actually needs

Not a generic five-page template. These are the pages that earn their place on a beauty business website.

  • 01

    Online booking that actually works

Live availability, deposits if you take them, and confirmation without you touching anything. This is not a feature of a beauty website, it is the main thing it is for.

  • 02

    Treatments with prices and durations

Every treatment, what it costs, and how long it takes. Duration matters more than people expect, because clients are fitting appointments around work and school runs.

  • 03

    Patch tests and preparation

Which treatments need a patch test and how far in advance, plus what to do or avoid beforehand. It prevents the Saturday morning conversation where someone has to be turned away.

  • 04

    Aftercare

How to make lashes, nails or a tan last. Clients look this up repeatedly in the days after an appointment, it reduces the messages you field, and it quietly improves how your work is judged.

  • 05

    Bridal and event packages

Booked months ahead, higher value, and searched in a completely different way from routine treatments. Trials, timings and how you handle a group on the morning all belong on their own page.

Three mistakes worth fixing first

If you do nothing else with your current site, start here. All three are cheap to put right.

  • 01

    No online booking

The single most expensive omission in this trade. Most beauty searching happens outside working hours, and a client who has to ring you tomorrow frequently books somewhere else tonight. It also ends the daily churn of messages that eat your breaks between clients.

  • 02

    No prices or durations

Both are the client's opening questions and hiding them does not create an enquiry, it creates a bounce. Publishing durations also fills your diary better, because clients self-select into slots that actually fit their day.

  • 03

    Nothing about patch tests

For tints and lashes this is a real problem rather than a detail. A client who did not know they needed a patch test forty eight hours ahead becomes a wasted slot and an unhappy person, and one page prevents nearly all of it.

What people type when they need a beauty therapist

Roughly the shape of the searches worth being found for. Put your own town where the brackets are, because local intent is where a small business can genuinely outrank a bigger one.

  • beauty salon [your town]
  • lash extensions near me
  • spray tan [your town]
  • bridal makeup [your town]
  • mobile beauty therapist near me

I set this up during the build rather than selling it back to you afterwards as an SEO package. What I will not do is promise you the top spot, because nobody can honestly promise that.

What it costs

A website for a beauty business starts at £1,000 for up to five pages, live in about two weeks. You get one number in writing before anything starts, and it does not move unless you ask for something that was not in the brief. Hosting and your domain run separately at roughly £100 to £150 a year, and the care plan is optional.

The full breakdown is on the pricing page. You talk to me the whole way through, because there is nobody else to talk to. I have been doing this for 12 years and I am still reachable after launch, with 30 days of free tweaks while you settle in.
